Growing up, my father insisted that I call him sir. That's just the way some households are run, other fathers want their
kids to call them dad or daddy. When I have a child I’m going to insist that it (the child will have no gender) calls me Marty. That way, when they become teenagers they’ll run and slam
their doors behind them and say:</div>

Larry the Cable Guy of Witless Protection fame has been cast
in Sir Tyler Perry’s latest entry into the Madea saga: A Madea Christmas. This
film will have two ingredients that make Christmas such a great holiday: unrelenting
red neck humor and a middle aged man behaving like a crotchety elderly woman.
At least that’s how it is at the Beal house ever year.</div>

Aaron Johnson, star of Kick Ass and Anna Karinininana is currently in the running to play the lead role in

different direction and will focus on Godzilla’s origin as the photographer for
his high school newspaper before he is bitten by a radioactive lizard that
turns him into a gigantic, fire breathing monster.</div>

Tina Fey is the most recent addition to the ever growing
cast of The Muppets 2. She is set to play a guard for a Russian prison. The
nature of her role leads me to believe that Kermit and the gang could be doing
some hard time in this outing. I’ve always been curious to see what a prison
shiv would do to a Muppet; I guess we’ll just have to be patient.</div>

In TV casting news, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and Evan
Peters are set to return in different roles for the third season of American
Horror Story. For those who are unaware, each season of American Horror Story
tackles a completely different story with all new characters. Season one was
about a haunted house, season two focused on an insane asylum and the third
season will take more of a documentary approach and do an in depth examination
on the film career of Nicolas Cage. </div>

It's something that I wish I had learned five years ago:<div>
<br /><div style="text-align: center;">
<b>You are not a genius. </b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>It's not all about you. </b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>You don't know everything.</b></div>
</div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjORfEin1zhbShInf6LKkWXIk3ySoOXrbNbYn9OehAnxbrTtqJ8Zzufaj5Xr27T2VOtMgsB3N2BvqsQ0e_F4wi8j4tYvwCPViOGxlRfas3BkOy7MBkm39RaEdcBdIECqLn54KLRd11uD_U/s1600/tumblr_la6pk5565w1qbao74.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="216" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjORfEin1zhbShInf6LKkWXIk3ySoOXrbNbYn9OehAnxbrTtqJ8Zzufaj5Xr27T2VOtMgsB3N2BvqsQ0e_F4wi8j4tYvwCPViOGxlRfas3BkOy7MBkm39RaEdcBdIECqLn54KLRd11uD_U/s320/tumblr_la6pk5565w1qbao74.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
It is important to contribute to the field you wish to pursue. You want to help pave the road that you want to drive on someday. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Often writers privately consider themselves to be superior to their colleagues. It is this selfish attitude that keeps them from being active and supportive in the field. They want to be published in literary journals that they don't read. They want to be published while they do nothing to help the publishing industry, like buying books.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you want to be successful in your field, then become an active part of it. If you are a writer: read a lot, buy books, write reviews for those books. Encourage your fellow writers by reading their work and giving them constructive criticism. You'll learn a lot more about your industry and will ultimately benefit from having a sharing attitude.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I decided to take this class because I have not been a good citizen, I have not supported my fellow artists in the ways that I should. I have been selfish and closed off from the writing community. This is something that I want to change, this class will help me arrive at this goal.</div>
